The proposal is the product: agencies win before work starts
Nobody hires you for your portfolio. They hire you for the proposal — because the proposal is the only sample of working with you they ever get. Clear proposal, clear thinking. Vague proposal, vague everything after.

Clients buy the buying experience
By the time work starts, the decision is old news. The client decided while reading your proposal — its clarity, its specificity, the questions it asked. Your portfolio got you shortlisted. Your proposal got you hired. Most studios spend 90% of effort on the former and dash off the latter the night before.
A proposal that proves three things
One — you understood the problem better than the client stated it. Restate their brief sharper than they wrote it. If they nod at paragraph one, you have already won.
Two — you know what you will NOT do. List the exclusions plainly. Studios fear this shrinks the deal; it does the opposite. Boundaries read as seniority.
Three — the price sits next to the outcome, never alone. A number without a neighbouring result is just a cost. Put scope, timeline and the decision it buys on the same page as the fee.
The one-page test
If your proposal needs a follow-up call to explain, rewrite it. A proposal that requires a presentation to survive is not a proposal — it is a script. Ours fits scope, timeline and price on pages a founder can forward to a co-founder without you in the room. Forwardability closes deals.
What we refuse to write
No line items like "creative exploration" without a definition underneath. Every line answers: what you get, when, and how you will know it worked. Jargon is where accountability goes to hide.

Positioning before pixels: why rebrands start too late
Most rebrands fail before a single pixel is drawn — because nobody decided what idea the brand owns.
